Description
This product features a special acoustical filter that lets lower level sound through with relatively little noise reduction for greater situational awareness, and provides increasing amount of peak noise reduction as sound levels increases above 110 dB. This is called the Open Mode.
When used in the Closed Mode the product acts as a conventional earplug offering protection against steady state and peak impulse noise. The Open Mode is activated when the rocker switch featuring ‘CAE’ is pressed and the Closed Mode is activated when the rocker switch featuring ‘3M’ is pressed.
Subjective attenuation in accordance with EN352-2:2002: - in the Closed Mode SNR = 28 dB
- in the Open Mode SNR = 16 dB
